Cassie Myra, an apprentice electrician working for Irving at the Halifax shipyard, discusses how she got involved with the trades, at a time when she was a mother with a young baby. Her career pays very well and provides a great quality of life for her family. She speaks about how it is a great time for women to get into the trades. Women are just as strong and determined to do the work that men do. If a woman is good with her hands, is a problem-solver, and is a multi-tasker, she can succeed.
