Assistant/Associate Professor – Virus-Host Interactions (1.0 FTE)

Dalhousie University is inviting applications for a full-time, probationary tenure-track faculty position in Virus-Host Interactions in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Faculty of Medicine. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, as appropriate.

 

Candidates must have a PhD or MD degree or equivalent, and a strong record, for their career stage, of innovative research investigating fundamental and/or applied aspects of virus-host interactions. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a collaborative research program that complements Infection, Immunity, Inflammation & Vaccinology (I3V) research at Dalhousie and affiliated Health Centres (for example, Canadian Centre for Vaccinology)complement established investigators who explore such areas as molecular virology, innate immunity, oncolytics, vaccines, antivirals, and viral engineering. Healthy People, Healthy Communities, Healthy Populations Signature Research ClusterThe candidate will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in their areas of expertise.
